Our guest storyteller on November 17th is Artist Ray Villifane:

Ray Villafane is a world renowned artist with a flare for infusing magic into everything he touches. Based in Arizona, Ray works primarily in sculpture. 

 

His resume boasts the true title of being the pumpkin carver to the elite with clients such as Heidi Klum, Marci Klein, Larry Page, Marissa Myer, Jimmy Kimmel and even the President of the United States. 

Everything Ray does comes straight from a deep passion and love for what he does and it is reflected in his work. 

 

Ray has global following and has created sculptures in many countries such as Hong Kong, Germany, Switzerland, Russia , New Zealand, Canada, Italy and more. 

His work has been featured in multiple publications and even earned him a SyFy Channel pilot show of his own.  He holds two Guiness Book World Records and has been recognized by Ripley’s Believe or Not. 

 

While he is most known for his pumpkins, Ray has an uncanny ability to push the limits of possibility with whatever material he plays with. Whether it be pumpkins, sand or scarecrows Ray loves to explore character development and storytelling through the use of natural and up-cycled materials.
