comedy with no commitment

Check out what improv comedy is all about.  This drop in improv comedy class focuses on exercises and activities to help you learn the craft of improv comedy as well as do improv scenes.  This workshop will get you up moving and having a great time for one hour.

Come join us for our weekly downtown mesa Big O’l Neighborhood improv jam! This is your chance to showcase your talent, have some fun, and connect with other improvisers in the community. Are you ready to take the stage and make some magic happen? oh yeah, this is a free event.

Whether you’re a seasoned performer or new to improv, the improv jam is a supportive and inclusive space where everyone is welcome to participate.

Intro to improv:

Starts: Monday Dec 16th 2024 7:00pm-9:00pm

This fun, no-pressure beginning improv comedy class will get you laughing and having a great time whilst clocking plenty of stage time and one on one feedback with your professional comedian instructor. Learn the fundamentals of quick thinking, joke construction, idea generation and development, stage presence and more.

Level Two :
Short form and Performance

Starts: Tuesday December 17th 2024 7:00pm-9:00pm

Continue exploring the exciting techniques and ideas of improv comedy while adding a focus on performance and game play.

Level Three:
Advanced Scene work and Game Play

Builds upon the skills learned in Levels 1 and 2, with more advanced scene work and hilarious improv games, with guidance from our experienced instructors.

Level 4:
Advanced Story telling

Builds upon the skills learned in Levels 1 and 2, and 3.  Based on the skills used in our renowned Main Street Comedy Show, this six-week course will teach you advanced storytelling techniques and how to seamlessly integrate them into your improv scenes, with guidance from our experienced instructors.
